Title: Model of Chicago Water Tower Description: Model of the Chicago Water Tower located at Michigan Avenue and Chicago Avenue.; The cornerstone of the Chicago Water Tower was laid March 25th 1867 and was completed in 1869. The architect of the Tower was William W. Boyington, 1818-1898. It was badly damaged in the Chicago Fire of 1871 and was merely a commemorative ornament to the City until it was restored in 1913.
