Title: Evening dress Description: Gown of silk with alternate lavender and white stripes with floral design on white stripe. a) bodice - fitted bodice with peplum with high neck and long sleeves with plum silk pleated cuffs. Plum silk band down back and front. b) skirt - piece of shirred plum silk on right side of front running around to back. Trimmed around bottom with plum and white silk bows. Slight train with seven pleated ruffles edged with plum silk panel.; Worn by Jennie A. Wilcox, aunt of donor, on her graduation from the Central High School of Chicago.
