In different squares are inked the names of friends and relatives. Backed in solid white cotton. Patter: Album (Rudy McKim, 101 Patchwork Patterns, p.5.); Made by relatives of the donor. A very old pattern, its original purpose was as a gift for a bride to be. A group of friends and relatives would each stitch a block and then embroider her name on it.
