Title: Pinwheel from Comiskey Park's Monster Scoreboard Description: Pinwheel from Comiskey Park's Monster Scoreboard, Chicago, Illinois. Chicago White Sox owner Bill Veeck installed major league baseball's first exploding scoreboard in 1960. Every time a White Sox player hit a home run, eight red and white pinwheels flashed on and off while a shower of fireworks exploded overhead. This pinwheel is from the park's second Monster Scoreboard installed in 1982 and slavaged when Comiskey Park fell to the wrecker's ball in 1990.
