Title: Freedom Train on its way to Navy Pier Description: The steam locomotive that brought the Freedom Train to Chicago waits on the tracks between LaSalle and Wells streets and just south of Kinzie Street, Chicago, Illinois. Due to an issue with track switches, a diesel engine transported the Freedom Train from Kinzie Street to Navy Pier. The train contains cars full of artifacts celebrating the United States bicentennial. Chicago Community Area: Near North Side Date Depicted: 1975 July 28 Creator: M.
