weiss murder case with ben jacobs sitting in a police station for an inquest looking toward the camera

Half-length portrait of Ben Jacobs of the Weiss murder case sitting in a room in a police station in Chicago, Illinois, for an inquest. Jacobs is looking toward the camera, and a crutch is lying next to him. Earl Weiss and Patrick Murray, both bootleggers, were killed while walking with attorney W. W. O'Brien, who was wounded. Jacobs, Weiss' bodyguard, and Samuel Peller were wounded as well. Jacobs and Peller were brought in because they were present at the shooting.
