Oil painting titled Camp Douglas by Albert E. Meyers, Chicago, Illinois, 1864. Myers was a Private in Company F 196, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He painted this image while stationed at Camp Douglas in his studio of the tower of the Cottage Grove Hotel, opposite the entrance of the camp.
