View of the Woodruff Hotel in Chicago, Illinois, on fire, circa June 19, 1902. Water is being sprayed at the building, and people are on ladders and on the outside of the building. Two fire trucks, three ladders and many hoses are in front of and on the building. A horse and cart stand near one of the fire trucks. Many people, some in uniform, are standing at the base of the building watching. The hotel stood at 21st Street and Wabash Avenue and was used by the St. Luke's society as a treatment center for people addicted to alcohol, etc.
