Basic Search
Navigate to the Chicago History Museum Images homepage, type search terms into the Search bar and press enter or click the Magnifying Glass icon:

Scroll to the top of most pages on the Chicago History Museum Images website, locate the Search bar, type one or more search terms into the Search bar and press enter or click the Magnifying Glass icon:

Click the Menu icon in the top right corner of most pages, click the Search link within the menu, type search terms into the Search bar and press enter or click the Magnifying Glass icon:
Search results appear as thumbnails in a grid. Scroll down to see more results or refine the search by clicking the Search Filters icon:
Previous search terms can be accessed in the Search Filters panel. Additionally, searches in the Search Filters panel can be sorted by relevance, oldest first, or newest first. Searches can be refined based on one or more categories. Click the desired search categories, then click Filter.
Click the View Details icon in the top right corner of the search window to view image details below each thumbnail:
Click the Thumbnails icon in the top right corner of the search window to view images without image details:
If the View Details icon is clicked, each thumbnail will include a Preview icon, an Add to Cart icon, and an Add to Lightbox icon:
The Preview icon expands an individual image within the search window to reveal full image details; the Add to Cart icon adds the selected image to the default cart associated with the user account; and the Add to Lightbox icon adds the selected image to the default lightbox associated with the user account. A drop-down arrow on the Lightbox icon allows the user to select which lightbox the image is added to.
Select a standard license and click the Buy It Now button, or build a custom license in the shopping cart after the image is added.
